Sadly, sometimes you can no longer keep up your allotment.
If that is the case you need to let us know as soon as possible so that we can either re-let it immediately so that it does not get overgrown or know in advance that you will not be needing it any more.
Your allotment agreement is a legal document and the conditions laid out in it are important.
Technically you should give three month’s notice but we understand that sometimes things happen that make this impossible and that you may wish to give up with immediate effect.
We will require a written request to cancel the agreement (lease) with immediate effect and we will reply to this. An e-mail is acceptable. Please note that we do not give refunds for unused rental fees.
On leaving you are required to ensure that the plot is left in a neat and tidy condition.
All debris and rubbish which has accumulated must be removed and disposed of either at home or at the official waste tip.
We will bill you if we have to pay someone to do this.
Any shed or construction should be removed. If you wish to leave it for the next tenant then we must inspect it to make sure that it is in good condition.
To give up your allotment either immediately or give 3 months notice (at the end of June for the end of September) please e-mail

Please let us know your allotment number!
